For International Literacy Day (8th September), we had a dream - we wished that 100 people would volunteer to conduct storytelling sessions across the country. We ended up finding more than 250 champions to conduct storytelling sessions across the country. We will be sharing the stories of all our champions through our blog.
Mahadevan Jayaram sent us this story. He said :
Thank you Mahadevan for spreading the joy of reading!
the #PBChamps storytelling session held at Chennai on 8th September. This was held at a centre for children with learning difficulties (dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, etc) called Diksa (www.diksa.co.in). It was an absolutely empowering session where a lot of kids with ESL (English as a Second Language at home) loved the stories so much that they came forward without hesitation to read it out aloud in front of the entire group.
A heartfelt thanks for the initiative and bringing joy to these lives.
