Pratham Books Champions : Sathyanarayanan and Lohit Libraries

For International Literacy Day (8th September), we had a dream - we wished that 100 people would volunteer to conduct storytelling sessions across the country. We ended up finding more than 250 champions to conduct storytelling sessions across the country. We will be sharing the stories of all our champions through our blog.

Sathyanarayanan sent us this story.

Storytelling session conducted at Wakro on 8th September, 2012

This is just a note to confirm that Ms. Kesilu Tayang, cl VIII student and an expert story-teller reader-activist of Lohit youth Libraries Network conducted a reading session with Susheela's Kolam print out at the ASSET campus. More than 200 students from 2 schools of ASSET and about 15 teachers attended the Int Lit day programme at Wakro, where the book was read out.

Unfortunately ( as all of our Library organisers were away at Tezu to attend the state directorate guests at bamboosa Library, no photos could be taken of her reading).

Thank you Sathyanarayanan and Lohit Libraries for spreading the joy of reading!
